Implications: Neither reintroducing children to the scene of the story (reminder) or providing them with props as contextual cues substantially increases error rates of recall of verbal and behavioral events, when compared to no reminders at all. Distortions for detail are more likely found with someone who did not experience the event. Using cues, in the manner described by the authors, will not contaminate memory. What type of interviewing is more likely to benefit from correct responses after reminders?
